In future, the deployment and command of the Armed Forces in network centric operations is to be supported by a joint, interoperable communications and information network that includes all resources for intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance in a common business process. The integration of such Systems into the architecture of this network is vital for information superiority and decision dominance. The technological basis will be a service-oriented architecture (SOA) with integrated advanced functionalities that ensure the interoperability of forces from the technical to the semantic level.
